So I'm minding my own business while conducting business on MySpace.com
(it's not ALL full of crap there) when I decide to check on some posted bulletins and this piece of..."information"...pops up:

"Right now a tragedy is unfolding in the Middle East. Hundreds of civilians have died in the bombings in Lebanon, Israel and Palestine and the death toll is rising every day. The situation is volatile and could escalate into a catastrophic regional conflict.

Despite the bloodshed, our leaders have been slow to act. UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has called for an immediate ceasefire and the deployment of international troops to the Israel-Lebanon border. This is the best proposal yet to stop the violence, but the US, UK and Israeli governments are opposed, and -- for it to succeed -- global leaders need to get behind it immediately.

Now is the time to act. People around the world must tell their leaders to speak out and support Kofi Annan's proposal. If we can persuade our governments to unite in demanding a ceasefire, all sides in this conflict will be pressured to stand down. Please sign this petition and ask your friends, family and colleagues to do the same.

The petition will be sent to key regional and global leaders and publicized in major newspapers in the Middle East, US and Europe. With enough signatures we can help pressure our leaders to stop the violence."

Granted, this kind of talk (and opinion) is nothing new but it just amazes me how it seems like a significant number of people are viewing the Israelis as the aggressors in this conflict. As I've asked a good million or so times, who is targeting civilians? Who loves to flaunt civilian casualties? Who uses innocent women and children as "shields" all the time? Certainly not the Israelis...yet it is the Israelis who are constantly being called murderers and savages.

Perhaps my perception is way off...but I seriously doubt that. I just wish that everyone would take a moment to truly fathom what is happening and who the real TERRORISTS are.

Oh, and by the way...I'm not Jewish.

You should also know that the above quoted text is taken directly from the Cease Fire Campaign  website. If you have some time to kill check that site out and familiarize yourselves with the people responsible for it. That'll shed some light on their true agenda...

Anyhow, I'm still debating whether to make this my ONLY blog or to just deem it an extension of the original Bleeding Right blog. We'll just have to wait and see. I must admit, though, that this does seem to be my kind of neighborhood. Let's hear it for gentrification!
